Cecelia has served as the Sierra Kids Foundation executive director since 2016. She also serves as the tournament director for the Foundation’s annual fundraiser, the Wild West Shootout basketball tournament.
She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, where she earned her B.A. in public relations from the Reynolds School of Journalism in 2005. While earning her undergraduate degree, she worked in the Department of Development and Alumni Relations as the annual giving student supervisor, and as a writer and editor in the University’s Department of Marketing and Communications.
Cecelia worked as an advertising executive at the Gannett/USA Today Network for over eight years, where she held multiple roles including multi-media sales, and sales team management.
She is mom to two young children, and is passionate about helping other young families in the community. Some of her professional interests include fundraising, grant-writing and networking, and her personal interests are spending time with immediate and extended family, reading and staying active.
